We are not a volume operation — and that's by design. Every breeding decision at Cedar Hills Cattle Company is made with one clear purpose: raising calm, healthy, beautifully built mini cattle that thrive as cherished companions and quality breeding stock.

Our Cattle
Calm, gentle dispositions are non-negotiable. Our cattle are handled regularly and raised with human interaction from day one.

Our breeding program prioritizes predictability, so families know exactly what to expect as their calves mature.
All calves are raised by their mothers and naturally weaned at approximately five months, ensuring proper social development and resilience.
Breeding Program
Our herd consists of carefully selected mini Highland, HighPark, and Highford cows, all of breeding age and managed with advanced handling facilities designed for low-stress care. We are transitioning to a predominantly AI-based breeding program, allowing us to introduce elite genetics, improve consistency across calves, and continue refining temperament and size.

We don't believe in simply selling a calf and walking away. From the first conversation through long after your calf comes home, we work closely with new owners to ensure a smooth transition and a positive experience.
We offer guidance on setup, care, and expectations — and remain available as questions arise. Many of our families come to us through referrals, something we value deeply and never take for granted.
Availability & Waitlist
Demand for our calves consistently exceeds availability. We operate on a waitlist and deposit system, with placements offered based on fit, timing, and program goals. We also have relationships with other quality breeders — if we don't have what you're looking for, we'll help you find it.
About Us
Cedar Hills Cattle Company began in Minnesota and has since relocated to Weatherford, Texas. The operation is owner-managed, with hands-on daily care and collaboration with top-quality veterinary professionals as needed.
Our goal is simple: to raise exceptional cattle and place them in homes where they will be loved, respected, and well cared for.
Calves are weaned at 5-6 months with a low-stress 7-10 day fence wean, followed by 4 weeks of hands-on halter training, socialization, and grooming — so every calf leaves our ranch gentle, sweet, and ready for their new home.
All calves include vaccinations (Scour Guard, Enforce 3, Vision 7, Cattle Master Gold, Bangs for heifers), chondro and horn status testing, health papers, brand inspection, and 4 weeks of socialization.
50% non-refundable deposit and signed Cattle Sale Contract required. Full payment due one week prior to shipping or at pickup. Board fee of $15/day applies after contract date.

Our cattle are bred exclusively for the pet market. We do not offer animals for slaughter, auctions, or commodity use. We reserve the right to decline sales if we believe an environment is not suitable for the long-term well-being of our cattle.
